Turning a Local CPA Firm Into a Trusted Community Brand

When I joined R&A CPAs as Marketing Manager, the brand felt stuck in a different era—stock images of calculators, generic tax lingo, and messaging that alienated the very people it was trying to help. I saw an opportunity to do more than update the website—I wanted to reposition the firm as a modern, approachable partner for local business owners.

Working closely with partners and stakeholders, I led a full messaging overhaul and brand refresh. We stripped away the jargon and centered the voice around real people and real outcomes. Instead of talking about forms and deductions, we focused on peace of mind, proactive planning, and the specific industries we served.

Visually, we traded outdated imagery for warm, relatable photography that reflected our local community. The result was a brand that felt trusted, human, and helpful—driving stronger engagement from both new and long-standing clients.
